Assuming you're starting at Flinders Street Station we recommend either the tram or bus here are best options to take:

1. Walk to Federation Square/Swanston St Tram Stop #13 outside Flinders Street Station.
2. Take Tram 1 (East Coburg) northbound.
3. Get off at Richardson St/Lygon St Stop #117. The trip is about 20–21 minutes.
4. Walk east along Richardson Street to Rathdowne Street, then north to 649 Rathdowne Street (approximately 5–10 minutes).

1. Walk to Little Collins St/Queen St.
2. Catch Bus 250 or 251 towards Carlton North.
3. Get off at Richardson St/Rathdowne St.
4. Walk north along Rathdowne Street to No. 649

Assuming starting from Flinders Street Station we recommend train or Tram here are best options to take:

1. Board a Mernda Line train at Flinders Street Station.
2. Get off at either: 
   • Northcote Station, or
   • Merri Station (depending on which is closest to your exact destination).

1. Walk to 229 High Street, Northcote.

Travel time:

• Train: approximately 25 minutes
• Walk: approximately 5–10 minutes depending on the station.

If you prefer trams:

1. Walk to Bourke Street.
2. Catch Tram 86 (Bundoora RMIT).
3. Travel along High Street through Northcote.
4. Get off near High Street / Westgarth / Northcote and walk to 229 High Street.

This is often a little slower than the train but drops you directly onto High Street.

You can also take Tram 11 (West Preston) from Collins Street.

• Board at Melbourne Town Hall/Collins St.
• Travel to Northcote along St Georges Road.
• Walk across to High Street.
