At Calle Bakery we do not have a booking system or need to book or reserve a table. Its walk-in service only.
Weekdays: During the weekdays (Tuesday to Thursday) you can usually get a table or it wont be long to get one. Pick and seat yourself on an available table and proceed into the shop to order and pay for your food. Let the staff know the table number when ordering.
Weekends: During busy days like Friday to Sunday, we will have a line for a seat at a table. If you want to be seated on one of our tables, then proceed to line up and wait to be seated, this is usually the line besides Chin Chin the shop next door. Once a table is assigned to you, simply proceed to the line in-front of the door, order and pay for your food. Give the staff the table number assigned.
Thank you for the understanding and enjoy your time at Calle Bakery.
Due to the size of our shop and production area at Calle Bakery. We have to make our products fresh each day. Making croissants takes up to three days, so on some products we impose limits to ensure everyone gets to try our products. Please check on our regular instagram or Facebook updates to learn more on our limits. Thank you for understanding.
Major food allergens in our baked products contain
- Milk
- Eggs
- Nuts (Almond, Pistachio, Hazelnut)
- Wheat flour
- Alcohol (some products may contain small amounts of alcohol for flavour such as Almond, Hazel nut, Escargot as well as some products such as croissant wheels). please ask.
Production area is small and we use nuts on many products. we try hard to ensure no cross contamination by constantly keeping areas clean and free from cross products. However our products may still contain small traces of nuts.
For our croissants, breads and pastries:
- No animal fats are used in our production of baked goods
- No gelatine is used in our icing, creams or custards. But we do have gelatine in the lemon tart.
- Flour, yeast, egg, milk and butter are used in production of our croissants
Calle Bakery regular Almond, Hazelnut and Escargot croissants contains small amount of alcohol for flavor. When they are baked most of the alcohol dissipates.
From time to time our special croissant wheels may contain small amounts of alcohol. Such as Champagne or Tiramisu wheels. Please ask our staff to be sure.
Calle Bakery croissants are vegetarian friendly but do contain dairy such as butter and milk, with a small amounts of egg wash, not for vegans unfortunately.
Unfortunately due to size of our bakery and limited space, the amount of preparation and work involved to produce quality product. We reserve the special croissant wheels only for Friday and the weekends only.
Good news: each day Friday to Sunday, we will have two flavors. Our bakers will be hard at work to bake and create these sweet bundles of joy from 9:30am then around the clock where you can purchase at the shop, or until sold out. Typically we start selling out around 2:30PM.
Check out our Instagram @callebakery or other socials for more information on flavors for that week/month.
At Calle Bakery we do have a 15% surcharge on public holidays. This is so that we can maintain and continue to pay our staff for working these on these days.
We recommend you place the pastries in the refrigerator as soon as you get the chance. The pastries can last up to 2 days to be consumed to ensure the pastries are fresh and delicious!
At Calle, we do not have toilets for our customers however the nearest toilets are at the Carlton Library where it is easily accessible.
